The Organ Fund

In early 2022, the motion was made that we begin an organ fund, with the intent to purchase a new instrument in the next few years. The current organ is nearing 30 years old, and the average lifespan for this particular instrument is 30-35 years old. The organ has a couple of issues that we have patched, but they continue to come back, such as dead notes, "buzzing" speakers, and boards going out.  We are currently in the fundraising stages of this project, and to date, we have just over $10,000.00 in the fund. Organ music, and music in general has always been a key ministry at the St. Mark United Methodist Church, and without the generosity of the congregation, and friends of St. Mark, we would not have what we have today, and are ever grateful. If  you would like to donate to this worthwhile project, or would like more information, please contact our Director of Music, Alex Wilson. Our goal is to raise at least $150,000.00 to purchase an instrument that is much more flexible, will allow for greater variety, and continue to support the congregation through worship and song, as well as a versatile concert instrument. Any donors towards this project will be listed on a plaque, and will be proudly displayed in the narthex. You can mail a check, with ORGAN FUND on the memo line, as well as give online, by clicking on the button below. We greatly appreciate your support, and generosity as we raise the money for an instrument that will bless many generations ahead.
